Favorite Christmas Tree Farm and No Snow Yet.

I can't believe the last time I posted on my blog was around Halloween! Where did November and half of December go???? Another thing I can't believe is...and brace yourself for this...  there has not been one drop of snow here in Southern Vermont yet. And I'm sooooo happy about that! Because I know once it snows it won't stop till Spring lol.
But back to the no posting thing right? Well...It seems so much has happened but at the same time not much at all heh. Therefore, I won't bore you with the small details of my life; like my birthday, which has brought me to the real dark side of my thirties...sigh such is life. Instead we will talk about brighter more cheerful topics such as going to the Christmas Tree Farm this past weekend and decorating our tree and house for the holiday!


Steve and I have been going to the same local tree farm since I moved up here. We haven't really had a desire to go or try anyone else because their trees are the best! We knew we wanted to get a small Christmas Tree to accommodate are small and lack of optional spaces in our living room and house for that matter. I think it took us a matter of 10 minutes to pick our tree out.


After picking out  our tree we headed into the "barn" to pick out a wreath for our front door. Usually in the past we also get a kissing ball but we decided to opt out of the kissing ball because I ordered a reindeer log instead. I'm still waiting on it to be delivered so I will insert pictures of it as soon as I receive it. But it will look something like the picture below.




After we picked out our tree we decided to walk around the tree farm a little because they had such nice property. We noticed they had a little area where you could saw off your own tree also. Which we might do one year. Although I have a funny story about how my mom and I did that by ourselves one year and it turned out to be a fiasco haha! Great memories.

And there you have it folks! Our little trip to the tree farm! I decided to do a separate blog post on how we decorated the tree and share with you a glimpse into some of my favorite ornaments I have. Hopefully that makes up for the lack of post on here. So hopefully look for another post later on in the week!

Guess what?! I went apple picking for the FIRST TIME ever, in my 30 and something years life last month! And,I must say... now I see what the hoopla is all about! If The Pumpkin Fits, Wear It.

As mentioned in my last blog post, I told ya'll how Steve and I went to one of the local pumpkin stands. I'm hoping next year we get our butts motivated earlier enough in the year to find an actual pumpkin patch and pick our own pumpkin right off the vine. But, anyways... We got there pretty late in the season ( per Vermont time) but there were still a fair amount to choose from. If you ever really look at pumpkins all together you come to realize there a lot like snow flakes, not one is exactly like the other. However, my favorites are the low rounded ones. I also discovered these orange and white stripped ones that I had never seen before, I think they might be my new favorites. But nothing beats a good ol' fashion big huge round pumpkin.  I also picked up three little pie pumpkins at the stand, with the intentions of making a homemade pumpkin puree from them to make pies.
